A standing seam metal roof is more than just metal. It is a complete system requiring many different products such as synthetic underlayment, flashing, ventilation, sealants and more.

Coming in various panel types and colors to fit any preference, our standing seam metal roofs are stylish, durable, economically friendly, fire resistant, long lasting and require little maintenance.

What is a standing seam roof?

A standing seam roof is the most stylish, durable, maintenance-free metal roof. It has concealed fasteners and the seam protrudes above the roofs surface allowing water to run off without seeping between the panels. The panels can be joined by a mechanical system (a machine folds the seams) or a snap system (the seam is manually snapped into place).

Standing seam roof versus a traditional screw down roof:

A traditional screw down roof is indeed cheaper and popular; however, they require more maintenance and are less stylish than standing seam roofs. Screw down roofs have fasteners that are still exposed and they require periodic changing of screws. Standing seam roofs have hidden fasteners and do not require any changing of screws.

Why is a metal roof better than shingles?

•    More Durable – you’ll likely never have to reroof your home again.
•    Saves energy bills
•    Increases resale value
•    Can withstand extreme weather
•    Economically friendly as all materials are 100% recyclable

How long will it take for my roof to be installed?

The time it takes to install a metal roof varies based on how complicated the angles of the roof are. On average, it usually takes about 5 working days to install a simpler roof and 10 working days install a more complicated roof.

Cost compared to other roofs:

Because metal roofs are a high quality product, their cost is about two or three times as much as shingle roofs. However, you certainly pay for what you get as you will never have to worry about reroofing your home again because metal roofs last about three times as long shingle roofs. Also, installing a metal roof can lower your current home insurance rate.
Metal roofs and tile roofs cost about the same.

Economically friendly:

The National Association of Home Builders Research Center reports that every year, 20 billion pounds of shingles are dumped into our landfills. Since metal roofs can be retrofitted over existing roofing materials (shingles), we keep from adding more shingles to landfills.

Maintenance:

Metal roofs require virtually no maintenance at all. However, an appropriate form of maintenance would be simply hosing off any material that could overtime become corrosive (bird droppings, acid rain). Though, this is just a suggestion to those wanting to take pristine care of their roof. The absence of this maintenance will likely not make your roof corrode any quicker. We are ready to assist you with any maintenance concerns you may have.

Inspections:

We also perform metal roof inspections, If you are in need of a metal roof inspection, please feel free to call and schedule an appointment with Paul.
